AI Contract Overview
The contract specifies the procurement of surgeon's gloves that are latex-free, powder-free, sterile, and individually wrapped in pairs of 50. These gloves are made of neoprene with a Biogel coating, have a smooth surface, size 7, blue color, hand-specific design with curved fingers, beaded cuffs, and a puncture indication feature. Packaging must comply with commercial standards and be sufficiently protective to prevent damage during shipment, with appropriate labeling according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1. The gloves have a non-extendable shelf life of 36 months, with no more than five months elapsed between manufacture and delivery to the government. The procurement document outlines strict requirements including adherence to technical and quality standards referenced through the DLA Master List, and mandates proper packaging to ensure safe delivery at the lowest transportation cost. The gloves are specified under NSN 6515-01-519-6343 for one package unit, with delivery expected within 20 days. The contractual details also emphasize removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies and provide contact information for the contracting officer. This acquisition is handled by the Department of Defense through the Medical Supply Chain MD SURG FSF office, with the place of performance designated as APO 96543-4010.
