Full Description

DHS/OPO/DNDO intends to issue a requirement on a sole source basis to develop four (4) Gold Standard Test Systems for measuring energy resolution of NaI radiation detectors. The government has developed a "Gold Standard Test System," consisting of APTEC (v 7.04C) software, test jig for rotating radiological sources, and the Eagle Plus Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA-4k) hardware. Saint-Gobain Ceramics and Plastics Inc., 9 Goddard Road, Northboro, MA 01532-1545 is the only source with the components needed to build the test equipment devices. DNDO provides the SIMP detectors as Government Furnished Property to the ASP manufacturers. The detector performance specification contains a requirement for a certain value of detector pulse height resolution (PHR).
