Graton Town Square Community Spaces Matching Grant Project

The Graton Town Square Community Spaces Matching Grant Project is an initiative led by the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District to preserve the urban open space, scenic, recreational, and educational values of a 0.59 acre property located at 9155 Graton Road, Graton, California. The project involves providing funding for property improvements and the reimbursement of the property acquisition. Under this arrangement, the Graton Community Services District will acquire the fee interest, while the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District will hold a Conservation Easement, a Recreation Conservation Covenant, and an associated Irrevocable Offer of Dedication. The scope of work is limited to minor land alterations and the construction of small structures to develop a park. The project has been granted a Notice of Exemption under the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Sections 15303 and 15304 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations. Administrative oversight is managed by the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, with Olivia Fiori serving as the primary Acquisition Specialist. The project was formally approved and signed on September 24, 2025.
