Greenspot Pump Station and Associated Facilities Ownership Transfer

The Greenspot Pump Station and Associated Facilities Ownership Transfer involves the administrative and operational acquisition of the existing Greenspot Pump Station, including associated pipelines and appurtenances, from the California Department of Water Resources to the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District in partnership with the San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency. This transfer encompasses capacity rights, ownership, and all operation and maintenance responsibilities. The project is located within the cities of Highland and Redlands, as well as unincorporated San Bernardino County, and is categorized as a Class 1, Section 15301 exemption because it involves no new construction, physical changes, facility expansion, or changes to land use and the environmental footprint. The transfer of ownership is contingent upon the full repayment of capital and financing costs for the facilities by the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District and the San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency to the California Department of Water Resources. Additionally, the acquiring agencies will establish new Wholesale Distribution and Interconnection Facilities Agreements with SCE to maintain electric service.
