Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E, with strict prohibitions on mercury or mercury compounds in materials, preservation, and packaging processes. Delivery terms specify a lead time of 171 days with delivery FOB origin to DLA Distribution San Diego, where acceptance and inspection also take place at origin. The contract mandates adherence to DoD unit of issue standards and includes clear instructions on packaging, marking, and palletization in line with applicable MIL-STD requirements. Special provisions prohibit the intentional addition or contact of mercury in the supplies, except for very limited cases aligning with NAVSEA specifications. The point of contact for this solicitation is Tywanda Maddox Addington, and the response deadline for bids was set for late May 2026. Overall, this contract outlines a comprehensive set of quality, marking, packaging, and delivery requirements to ensure the procurement of durable, compliant nonmetallic grommets for military or government use.
