Full Description

The Government is conducting market research/RFI to identify potential sources that possess the repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to repair the C-130 AN/ASN-167 (V) Ground Collision Avoidance System (GCAS) component (GCAC). The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Both NSNs (5841-01-463-3343LG and 5841-01-449-9255LG) included in this effort have an Air Force Material Command, AFMC Form 762, Contract Repair Screening Acquisition Worksheet (CRWAW) Repair Method Code (RMC) and Repair Method Suffix Code (RMSC) that indicate sole source requirement exist. The RMC/RMSC codes are R3/R. RMC "R3" means repair, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. RMSC "R" means the government does not own the data or rights to the data needed to contract repair of this part from additional sources. Technical data distribution will be authorized to Department of Defense (DoD) and United States DoD contractors. The Government does not own or have access to the data for this item. The Government has determined that this system is a commercial item. Commercial item descriptions, commercial vendor catalog or price lists or commercial manuals assigned a technical manual number apply.
