This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to notify potential offerors that Lajes Field, Terceira, Azores, Portugal intends to solicit proposals and award a single award firm fixed price contract using FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services and FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation. The contract term will be a base period of four (4) months plus four (4) one (1) year options; beginning on 1 October 2022 to 31 January 2027. This synopsis is for a solicitation for the following: Non-Personal Service, the Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed at Lajes Field, 65th Air Base Group (ABG) and off Base support sites in a manner that will promote the growth of healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance through the growing seasons, which for Lajes Field consists of 52 weeks a year. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561730 - Landscaping Services, Service Code S208 Landscaping/Groundskeeping Services. The anticipated solicitation release date on or about 06 June 2022, which may be subject to changes. The closing date, time for submission of offers, as well as the date and time for preproposal conference will be contained in the solicitation package. Solicitation documents will be posted on the Government Point of Entry located at https://sam.gov and to the local chamber of commerce in Angra do Heroismo. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package.
