This project consists of the construction of a 35 foot long, 4 ft wide hiker bridge. Work includes but is not limited to erosion control and resource protection; steel and timber bridge construction; approach work and removal of existing bridge. To reach the project site, from Glacier, WA take State Route 542 east for approx - miles, turn right onto the Glacier Creek Road #39 and go approx 9 miles to the Heliotrope Ridge Trailhead ($677), then go 500 feet down the trail to the bridge site. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about August 26, 2009. Estimated start work date is approx June 1, 2010. All work to be completed no later than July 15, 2010.
