The project consists of the opening of the sluice gate, removal and replacement of the existing stem, approximately 80 feet in length , connected to the gate; stem guides to be installed on the structure to support it; and a rising-stem pedestal operator, which includes a portable electric operator, to be installed in the top of the intake tower. Contractors are required to work in the wet as the gate will be removed and replaced in the wet.
