The contract involves the procurement of GUIDONs, which are military unit flags manufactured in accordance with MIL-DTL-2692 specifications. This particular contract covers 18 distinct types of guidons, each associated with specific Army units such as Engineer, Cavalry, Chemical Corps, Air Defense Artillery, Infantry, Medical, Military Police, Ordnance, Psychological, Field Artillery, Army ROTC, Special Forces, Warrant Officer, Public Affairs, Aviation, Civil Affairs, and Judge Advocate General. Each guidon is identified by a unique Army Stock Number (NSN) and associated drawing number that details its design specifications. The contract requires the delivery of one unit within five days after the order date, with a solicitation period ending on May 26, 2026. Quality and technical requirements are rigorously defined under Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) guidelines and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), including packaging, inspection, and product acceptance standards. The contract stipulates the submission of two First Article samples for approval within 30 calendar days. Additionally, it mandates strict supply chain traceability and adheres to export control regulations due to the technical data involved, governed by ITAR and EAR restrictions. Contractors must be certified and trained appropriately to access or handle export-controlled data. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination with configuration management, quality conformance, and removal of governmental identification on non-accepted supplies incorporated. This contract is managed by the Department of Defense through the C and T Supply Chain office, with Charles Brown as the point of contact.
