ARMY CONTRACTING COMMAND - WARREN (DTA) INTENDS TO AWARD A FIRM-FIXED PRICE CONTRACT FOR THE M230 30MM GUN AND SPARE PARTS IN SUPPORT OF THE APACHE HELICOPTER. THIS ACTION WILL BE SOLE-SOURCE TO ALLIANT TECHSYSTEMS OPERATIONS LLC (ATK). THE STATUTORY AUTHORITY PERMITTING OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION IS 10 USC 2304(C)(1), AS IMPLEMENTED BY FAR 6.302-1, "ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS." THIS SYNOPSIS IS BEING ISSUED TO INCREASE SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES AS REQUIRED BY FAR 5.201(C). THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS A SYNOPSIS (SUMMARY).
