The Department of Defense, through the Army Contracting Command, plans to issue a Request for Prototype Proposals (RPP) under the Ground Vehicle Systems Other Transaction Agreement (GVS OTA) for the development of the Tactical Fuel Distribution System (TFDS). This effort supports advanced research and development of ground vehicle-related technology under the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC). Up to five prototype agreements may be awarded, with each selected consortium member expected to deliver up to two prototype TFDS units for government testing. Participation requires NAMC membership, and the solicitation includes both unclassified and classified elements, requiring prime contractors to hold or be in the process of obtaining a Facility Security Clearance. The Government intends to hold a Virtual Industry Engagement session to explain the TFDS requirements, survivability standards, and procedures for accessing classified information related to the solicitation. Though this notice does not represent an award or contract, it serves to inform industry partners of the upcoming opportunity. Following successful prototype development, a substantial follow-on production contract valued at approximately $650 million is anticipated, which could be awarded without further competition as authorized by statutory provisions. The contract aims to rapidly advance and deploy improved fuel distribution systems to enhance military ground vehicle operations.
