Full Description

The General Services Administration (GSA) is looking for an independent testing and inspection service company for the Comprehensive Seismic and Life-Safety Renovation Project in the Basement at the Federal Building, 300 North Los Angeles Street, Los Angeles, California. The Construction Contract is currently in the process of being evaluated and awarded. The purpose of this requirement is for Special Inspection Services (including the furnishing of all materials, apparatus, labor and any required insurance) for testing and inspecting procedures, sampling, field and laboratory testing, preparing and submitting report(s) and provide inspection services during construction. Sampling will be performed in accordance with current applicable standards, including, but not limited to, ASTM, AWS, ACI, and AISC. All work shall be performed by qualified personnel under the supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer. The estimated cost is from $300,000.00 to $400,000.00. Estimated completion time is 14 months. The basement area in question for construction will be vacated during each phase (1 - 3) of work. Each person from the testing company who will be on-site will be required to obtain Government Security Clearance and identification badge. This action is being solicited on a full and open competition basis and will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15.3. Offerors will be required to submit a fully developed Technical and Price Proposal.
