ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF HARRINGTON, WASHINGTON WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADES Sealed bids for the City of Harrington, Washington Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades will be received by the City of Harrington at the City Hall Meeting Room, 11 S. 3rd Street, Harrington, WA 99134, until 11:00 a.m. local time, September 16, 2026. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Installation of a new micro strainer, new return weir modifications, and appurtenances to facilitate the treatment plant improvements. The selected contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, materials and incidentals to complete the work. Estimated Cost of Project: $1,000,000 - $1,200,000 Bids must be completed on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the BID PROPOSAL. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, minor defects, or to reject any or all bids. CONTRACTORS and any of the CONTRACTORS’ subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project are required to have a current license issued by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries as a contractor in compliance with chapter 18.27 RCW. The contractor license(s) must be in effect at the specified time of bid submittal. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Harrington, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.
