Harte Stream Crossing and Restoration Project (Project) (Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-MEN-57492-R1C)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-MEN-57492-R1C with Brian Harte for the Harte Stream Crossing and Restoration Project. Located in the Russian River watershed in Mendocino County, approximately 2.5 miles northwest of Potter Valley, the project is conducted pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. The scope of work is divided into two primary encroachments: the first involves replacing an existing double-barrel culvert with a new stream crossing designed to current standards, and the second involves the removal of debris and the restoration and revegetation of approximately 90 linear feet of Boyes Creek. Key deliverables include the submission of a Basis of Design and Construction Plans to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for review and acceptance within two years of the agreement's effective date. The restoration work must be implemented according to the Streamside Management Area Restoration/Revegetation Plan and the requirements of Measure 2.26 of the Agreement. The project has been granted a Notice of Exemption based on categorical exemptions Class 2 and Class 4, as it is determined that the work will not harm endangered species or remove mature trees.
