Hazardous Waste Disposal

This requirement is for: The department of Correctional Service Canada, Ontario Region, Bath, Beaver Creek, Collins Bay, Grand Valley, Joyceville, Millhaven and Warkworth institutions.
Trade agreement: This procurement is subject to the Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement (CKFTA).
Tendering procedures: The suppliers listed in this notice and qualified under the supply arrangement EW479-162880 Hazardous Waste Disposal Services have been invited to submit a bid.

The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has a requirement to provide health care to offenders within
the institutional grounds. Providing health care generates hazardous medical waste that cannot be disposed of through the regular waste stream.
Objectives: To ensure the safe and lawful collection and disposal of hazardous biomedical, pharmaceutical, dental and sharps waste.
Deliverables:
The Contractor (PCP), must collect the following:
•Biomedical waste
o Non-anatomical
o Anatomical
o Cytotoxic
•Pharmaceutical waste
•Sharps waste
•Fixer and Developer Solutions
•Dental Amalgams
•Lead Foils
The Contractor must provide the containers, pails, liners, sharps containers and any other packaging required for the proper collections and safe disposal of waste.
Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.
