AI Contract Overview
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime is conducting a market survey under solicitation CM26034001 to identify qualified sources for the procurement of a Head & Disk, Safety, Pressure Relief (NSN 4820-14-540-0694, P/N GA31866), currently sourced exclusively from Safran Landing Systems (CAGE F6137) under an Authorized Manufacturer Code (AMC) 3C. This code indicates the part must be acquired directly from the original manufacturer and requires engineering source approval due to proprietary design knowledge, unique manufacturing capabilities, and technical data rights held by the approved source, which are not economically available to the government. Any new applicant seeking approval as an alternate source must submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request (SAR) package to DLA Weapons Support – Columbus, demonstrating technical and quality equivalence or superiority to the approved item, with all submissions subject to review and approval by the cognizant government engineering activity. The procurement is structured as an Indefinite Delivery Contract with a three-year base period and up to two one-year option periods, under FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition procedures, requiring offerors to provide unredacted commercial sales history, technical documentation, and proof of commercial use to establish commercial item status. Responses must be submitted via email to Contract Specialist Karin Wilson by May 26, 2026, to the DLA Weapons Support address in Columbus, Ohio, with all data marked as proprietary and confidential, yet fully disclosed for price reasonableness evaluation. The government may establish a guaranteed minimum order of 1 to 10 percent of forecasted annual demand and will evaluate offerors on their ability to meet delivery constraints, including minimum and maximum order quantities per delivery. No specific packaging, inspection, or invoicing requirements are detailed beyond the general application of FAR 12 and applicable military standards, and no evaluation factors, award basis, or accounting data are specified in the solicitation. The place of performance is Columbus, Ohio, and the primary point of contact for all submissions and inquiries is Karin Wilson, with Thomas Maul listed as a secondary contact.
