THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. NBIC is interested in collecting market research information regarding the current state, capability, and relevance of health information systems available "off-the-shelf" for biosurveillance across the human, plant, animal, environmental and food health domains. NBIC requests information on the capabilities of "off-the-shelf" systems that aggregate de-identified health-related data to facilitate early detection and enhanced contextualization of significant biological events. NBIC is interested in learning what health trends can be identified in such systems, as well as how timely and reliable these signals are. NBIC is also interested in whether any such systems or related data are presently being utilized for biosurveillance as part of a publicly or privately operated system, or have been evaluated by a third party for biosurveillance capabilities. See attached document for the full RFI.
