The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for two medical physicians, on an as-and-when requested basis.Work under this contract will require the services of a Contractor who is a Health Services Officer (HSO) to perform expert medical consultations/opinions and recommendations in relation to RCMP members’ fitness for duty and RCMP benefits and services. Also included are health assessments to determine fitness for duty of regular police officers, which includes determinations of suitability to perform maximal exertion to use a firearm and professional driving of emergency vehicles, as well as determination of medical suitability for isolated posting and foreign duties.It is the RCMP's intention to authorize two contracts, each for a period of one year with two options years of one year each, to contractor(s) who meet the requirements of the request for proposal. One contract will be for a full-time position (approximately 35-40 hours per week); one contract will be for a part-time position (approximately 3-6 hours per week)To ensure the RCMP’s operational requirements are maintained, delivery of the services will be at the RCMP Occupational Health Unit in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This health facility includes all necessary equipment and supplies.There is a Security Requirement associated with this Standing Offer. RCMP Top Secret security clearance is required.Basis of selection:To be declared responsive, a bid must:comply with all the requirements of the bid solicitation; andmeet all mandatory criteria; andscore between 0 and 50 points for the technical evaluation criteria which are subject to point rating. The rating is performed on a scale of 50 points. There is no minimum required.The selection will be based on the highest responsive combined rating of technical merit and price.Procuring Office: Bids must be submitted to the RCMP Bid Receiving Unit at:ATL_Procurement@rcmp-grc.gc.caRefer to the attached tender documents to obtain further information.The Crown retains the right to negotiate with any supplier on any procurement.Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.The RCMP has published its National Procurement Plan at http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/rcmp-national-procurement-plan.The RCMP has adopted the Integrity Regime administered by Public Services and Procurement Canada. As a result, the integrity provisions are being applied in RCMP contracting activities as outlined in this solicitation.Canada will make available Notices of Proposed Procurement (NPP), bid solicitations and related documents for download through the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) at http://www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Canada is not responsible and will not assume any liabilities whatsoever for the information found on websites of third parties. In the event an NPP, bid solicitation or related documentation would be amended, Canada will not be sending notifications. Canada will post all amendments, including significant enquiries received and their replies, using GETS.
