Helmet Mounted Display Software

The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base, California intends to award a commercial purchase order to Zedasoft, Inc., 2310 Gravel Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76118. Market research was performed via the Internet search of similar companies involved with software development for simulators. Zedasoft, Inc. is the only known source to provide these services and supplies. This acquisition is for: The USAF Test Pilot School (TPS) requires the development and installation of an advanced Helmet Mounted Display in the TPS Systems simulator. Potential vendor must be familiar with Container Based Architecture software, Voice Recognitions System, and the F-16 Block 40 aircraft. The tasks required: a. Add Night Vision Goggle and low light TV capability to a new HMD and integrate it into the existing TPS avionics demonstrator b. Add cockpit and Heads up Display blanking capability to the HMD glasses c. Add more HMD displays and HMD target locking This requirement has been determined to be Electronic Information Technology and therefore subject to Section 508. Vendor must conform to the accessibility standard developed by the Access Board (36 CFR Part 1194) and incorporated in FAR Part 39.2. Please provide proof of conformance with the requirements of Software Applications and Operating Systems (1194.21). This action will result in a purchase order to support the United States Test Pilot School. TCS is the only source identified for procurement of this service. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541511 and the size standard is $25,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by AFFTC.
