Stony Brook University Hospital plans to acquire hemostasis bone putty and related items manufactured by Abyrx, with a procurement limit of up to $125,000 under its discretionary authority as permitted by NYS Education Law §355(5)(A). The contract will run from January 12, 2025, through December 31, 2026, and is located within Suffolk County. Interested vendors must submit proposals by January 10, 2025, and are required to contact the designated campus representative within 15 business days of the advertisement notice. This procurement process does not involve a sealed bid, and compliance with NYS Finance Law §139 j&k (Lobbying Law) is mandatory, restricting contact to the designated official to avoid penalties such as contract denial or debarment. Vendors must also complete and submit various responsibility and compliance documents, including those related to vendor responsibility, tax law, workers’ compensation, and disability forms. The contract is not set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, and Abyrx is the only business entity with a history of similar contracts within the past five years. The solicitation is posted under NAICS code 423450, and the primary contact for inquiries is Deborah Hooper, Procurement Officer, reachable via email or phone.
