Hendricks Creek Maintenance (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. LAK-60839-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. LAK-60839-R2 for the Hendricks Creek Maintenance project. Issued to applicant Dan Stahr pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, the project is located in Lake County, California, specifically affecting approximately 800 linear feet of Hendricks Creek, a tributary to Scotts Creek. The primary objective is to maintain the creek's flood flow capacity through the annual removal of accumulated sediment. This maintenance work is strictly limited to a total of 250 cubic yards of sediment removal over the life of the agreement. Excavation must continue only until the native bed substrate, characterized by 1-inch to 2-inch diameter gravel, is exposed. Operational requirements dictate that all in-stream activities must be performed while the creek is dry using a backhoe and dump truck. Removed sediment must be redistributed on adjacent property in locations that prevent it from washing back into waterways.
