AI Contract Overview
Heparin Sodium Injection, USP, in 5000 unit per 1 mL single-use Carpuject format, is being procured under contract SPE2DP-26-T-3021 with a requirement for one package containing 50 units. The product must meet strict packaging and labeling standards per Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding MIL-STD-129, and must be commercially packaged to protect against damage during transit, using shipping containers that ensure safe and cost-effective delivery to Travis Air Force Base, California. The drug is regulated by the FDA and must have a minimum of 21 months remaining shelf life at the time of delivery, with a total shelf life of 24 months from manufacture — a non-extendable requirement. Temperature control is mandatory: storage must remain between 20 to 25°C (68 to 77°F), with no freezing permitted. All packaging must adhere to DLA’s Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, and hazardous material packaging rules apply only if classified under Fed-Std-313; otherwise, ASTM D3951 compliance is required. The item must be delivered FOB destination within five days of the required delivery date of April 24, 2026, with zero tolerance for quantity variance. Shipping must occur via the fastest traceable means exclusively, and parcel post is prohibited. The contract specifies the National Stock Number 6505-01-659-1547 and the NDC 00409-1402-12, with the product supplied by Pfizer Inc through AmerisourceBergen Drug Corp. All deliveries must be fully labeled and palletized in accordance with DLA packaging requirements, and the contracting official must submit an EBS referral to confirm product eligibility prior to award.
