High-Power Millimeter-Wave (MMW) Upconverter Modules

The U.S. Air Force, through the Air Force Test Center at Eglin AFB, Florida, intends to procure 202 non-commercial high-power millimeter-wave upconverter modules under a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract awarded to Kratos Microwave, Inc. These modules are critical components for the Radio Frequency Projection subsystem of the Advanced Multispectral Development program and must meet precise technical specifications: they must convert an intermediate frequency signal between 8.5 and 11.5 GHz to a Ka-band output of 33.0 to 36.0 GHz with a minimum output power of 28 dBm and gain flatness within ±1.25 dB. The units include 192 units of part number N26-7053 and 10 units of N26-7054, both designed as drop-in replacements with exact form, fit, and function to integrate seamlessly into the existing Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility and hardware-in-the-loop test architecture without requiring additional non-recurring engineering or re-validation.
