The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority is seeking to enroll eligible retailers for the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates program, funded by the Inflation Reduction Act. This initiative provides appliance incentives and electrical wiring or service panel upgrade rebates to income-eligible owners and renters of residential buildings who earn below 150% of the State's Area Median Income. The program is scheduled to launch in October 2024, initially focusing on ENERGY STAR certified heat pump dryers and all-in-one washer-dryers, with plans to offer incentives for induction cooktops, ranges, stoves, and ovens in the future. Eligible participants must be retailers with brick-and-mortar locations or online platforms that sell these specific ENERGY STAR certified appliances to New York State customers. Enrolled retailers will sign a Participation Agreement to remain in the program through its duration, with a current response deadline of December 31, 2026.
