Horizon BQ-470 PUR Binder/MG60 Gathering Pockets

This notice is for informational purposes only. The Government intends to award a sole source (GSA) contract to Standard Finishing Systems, for a Horizon BQ-470 and MG60 Gathering (Pockets). The MG60 Gathering (Pockets) are add-on attachments to an existing Horizon Binder at GPO. The BQ 470 is a unique perfect binder in that it is the only binder that incorporates all of the following specifications. (1) 2 sheets to 2.5" thickness (2) drum applicator that is utilized for both PUR and EVA adhesive (3) easy change over in less than 15 min. from PUR to EVA and back, (4) thickness caliper to load book dimensions automatically as on the existing Horizon Binder (5) JDF compatible (6) all adjustments move simultaneously from either caliper or touch screen including milling, notching, side glue, nipper, hinge and spine scoring and cover feeding, and (7) 1350 cycles per hour for maximum productivity. The BQ 470 also incorporates the same icons on the touch screen as on existing Horizon Bindery equipment at GPO, the BQ 260, SB07, and Stitchliner.
