The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board is funding the Project referred to internally as Hornbrook CSD Improvement Project. The components of the Project, to be funded by the State Water Resources Control Board, include construction and improvements throughout the Hornbrook Community Services District water service area. Specific components, include a new 1,000 square-foot water treatment plant building with water treatment system improvements, equipment, and appurtenances; replacement of two 120,000-gallon below-grade concrete water tanks with two 180,000-gallon above-ground welded steel tanks in the same location to improve fire flow; replacement of the existing Well 1 building with an approximately 100 square-foot concrete masonry unit (CMU) building with improvements and grading; replacement of the existing Well 4 building with an approximately 125 square-foot CMU building with improvements; improvements to the existing diversion structure; installation of 55 pressure-reducing valves and replacement of 142 water meter boxes on approximately 47 residential water services; and approximately two linear miles of new or replacement water mains.
