AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the supply of hose assemblies specifically designed for blood pressure monitors, including extension cuffs measuring three feet in length. It applies to all medical acquisitions and mandates commercial-grade packaging that ensures protection against damage or breakage during transit. Each unit must be securely sealed within an individual container and then packed in appropriate shipping containers, including export packaging if needed, to guarantee safe delivery by common or other carriers at the lowest transportation cost to the specified delivery point. All materials must be marked in accordance with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes previous standards such as MIL-STD-129. The contract specifies the purchase of six units under NSN/Part Number 6515-01-701-8641, with delivery expected within 20 days after the award date. All bids must clearly identify the source and part number of the items supplied. The procurement incorporates technical and quality requirements referenced in the Defense Logistics Agency's master list, and adherence to packaging and removal of government identification requirements for non-accepted supplies is mandatory. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense Medical Supply Chain at Cannon Air Force Base, with Michael Small as the primary point of contact for inquiries.
