HOSE ASSEMBLY,NONME
Solicitation # N0010425QFC71
Solicitation N0010425QFC71, issued by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is for the procurement of a non-metallic hose assembly designated as Special Emphasis material. Due to its use in crucial shipboard systems, the material is subject to stringent quality control and certification requirements to prevent failures that could result in loss of life or vessel. The scope requires the assembly to be manufactured according to Aeroquip drawing 678619, utilizing specific materials such as SAE-AMS-QQ-S-763 Class 304 for nipples and sleeves, SAE AMS 6349 for retainers, and SAE AMS-S-6758 for socket segments. The contract is designated as a DX rated order under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System and is issued pursuant to Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities. Key technical requirements include hydrostatic testing of nipples to 10,000 PSIG and specific proof pressure testing for the final assembly. The contractor must provide comprehensive certification data, including chemical and mechanical analysis and non-destructive testing for weldments, submitted via Wide Area Workflow for review by Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The delivery schedule requires certification data to be submitted 20 days prior to delivery, with final material delivery due within 365 days of the contract effective date. This solicitation was amended to remove the small business set-aside, making it an unrestricted competition, and to update the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard DODAAC to N50286. A one-year warranty from the date of delivery is required for the supplies.
