The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) intends to award a sole source contract for a healthcare data license to Premier Healthcare Solutions, Inc., 13034 Ballantyne Corporate PL, Charlotte, North Carolina 28277-1498. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a healthcare data license to access a comprehensive database of actionable data that allows assessment of clinical best practices and efficiency improvement strategies, generate recent estimates of antibiotic usage in the United States, monitor trends over time, and conduct epidemiologic studies involving hospital antibiotic use, microbiology laboratory data, and other issues related to healthcare associated infections and antibiotic resistance. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
