Solicitation SPE4A6-27-T-5947, issued by the DLA Weapons Support ASC Commodities Division, is for the procurement of 24 bearing unit housings under NSN 3130-00-461-4748. The contract is not a small business set-aside, though it follows a cascade preference for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and waives the Non-Manufacturer Rule. Delivery is required by October 8, 2027, with a need ship date of April 20, 2027, and is managed under the First Destination Transportation program with FOB Origin terms for delivery to San Diego, California. The contractor must adhere to strict quality and technical standards, including SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001 compliance and DLA Master List requirements. Key security and legal mandates include ITAR/EAR export controls, CMMC Level 2 certification, and DFARS 252.204-7012 for safeguarding covered defense information. Packaging must follow MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with a strict prohibition on mercury compounds. Award evaluations may favor expedited delivery schedules and HUBZone concerns, while any offers utilizing additive manufacturing are ineligible for award.
