UKAEA is undertaking refurbishment works to the J5 electrical infrastructure to support the ongoing operation and reliability of the Culham Campus power distribution network. As part of these works, new 33 kV high-voltage cables are required to replace existing assets and support the future electrical capacity Requirements of the site. The procurement will secure the supply of 4,000 metres of 1C x 400 mm² single-core copper cable suitable for use within the private 33 kV network. The cables must meet the specified technical, performance and quality Requirements to ensure a safe, reliable and compliant installation that supports the long-term operation of the electrical network.
