HVAC Duct Repair & Replacement

The County of Orange Sheriff-Coroner is soliciting bids under IFB-060-3145003-CF for as-needed inspection, testing, cleaning, service, and corrective maintenance of HVAC supply, return, and exhaust air ducting and components. The contractor must provide comprehensive services including alterations, sealing, engineering certification, and the provision of various duct materials and specialty components such as VAV boxes and sound attenuators. All work must adhere to manufacturer specifications, SMACNA and ASHRAE standards, and all applicable state, federal, and local laws. The contractor is required to be available for emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and must utilize 4-wheel drive lightweight vehicles for locations with challenging access, such as Santiago and Sierra peak. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with specific preferences available for certified OCLSB and DVBE businesses. Required submissions include a valid California State Contractor's License, UEI and D-U-S numbers, and compliance with the Levine Act via a campaign contribution disclosure form. Personnel must undergo security clearances every twelve months, and the contractor must provide both Faithful Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds. Compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act for prevailing wages and OSHA safety standards is mandatory. Payment is issued net thirty days in arrears following written acceptance by the County, with materials charged at invoice cost plus mark-up and shipping or permit fees reimbursed at actual cost.
