THIS IS FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY, DO NOT SUMBIT PROPOSALS. While the DRAFT RFP package has been included with this post, the RFP has NOT been released. Interested vendors should express their interest on the SAM.GOV posting, Interested Vendors List, or by emailing the Procurement Specialist for this project. Project Overview SLAC is seeking a qualified and experienced Architectural/Engineering firm and/or Design-Build Subcontractor to design, cost estimate, and provide construction administration for a project at SLAC to function of the HX-4 system. The HX-4 cooling system shall be abandoned in place. The LCW supply pressure shall be reduced to match existing HX-4 supply pressure. The new infrastructure shall provide increased reliability of cooling systems for LCLS and other programmatic customers. It is also important to note that there is no anticipated effect to SSRL pressure as this project will tap into a different 1801 LCW pipe branch. Scope of Work The Subcontractor shall work closely with the SLAC facilities team to produce a construction package to route piping from HX-1801 Skid to HX-4 Skid. Subcontractor to design the system per the approved user-design specifications document (I-708-104-008-00) provided by SLAC. To have a functional system, the subcontractor shall route all piping from existing 1801 pipe branch to HX-4 Skid. The design should include a pressure reducing valve station, piping, valves, accessories, pipe supports, electrical, instrumentation, controls, and trench design. Decommission HX-4 skid with appropriate isolation from existing utilities. At a minimum, this package shall include floor plans, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), equipment schedules, and details in CAD and PDF formats, specifications, calculations, closeout package per SLAC TOP checklist. These documents shall be suitable for construction.
