AI Contract Overview
The contract calls for the supply of 10 units of petroleum hydrometers conforming to ASTM No. 5H specifications. These hydrometers feature a plain form constructed from soda lime glass, measuring 330mm in length, calibrated at 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and provide 0.1-degree increments without an embedded thermometer. Each unit is permanently marked with a unique serial number and accompanied by a certificate of calibration. Packaging requirements mandate commercial-grade, sealed unit containers that protect against damage, with outer shipping containers that ensure safe delivery via carrier to the designated delivery point. Additionally, the material must be marked in accordance with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes previous military standards for identification. The solicitation is issued by the Department of Defense's Medical Supply Chain within the Federal Government, under the NAICS code 334519, with performance expected at an FPO location in zip code 96691-2900. Delivery is required within 20 days of order, and bidders must specify the source and part numbers of supplied units. The contract incorporates various technical and quality requirements as detailed in the DLA Master List, with emphasis on compliance with defense information protection and packaging protocols. The primary point of contact for the solicitation is Tina Vu from DLA, accessible via provided email and phone contacts.
