The Indian Health Service (IHS) is conducting market research through a Special Notice aimed at identifying qualified small business concerns capable of performing on-site septic system construction within the Nashville Area, which includes New York. This effort is not a solicitation for proposals or bids, and no contracts will be awarded from this announcement. Instead, IHS is organizing a Small Business Industry Day to engage with small businesses that operate under NAICS codes 237110 (Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction) and 238910 (Site Preparation Contractors), as well as other small businesses seeking assistance in identifying their NAICS codes. The event will feature presentations from IHS contracting officials, technical representatives, Small Business Administration (SBA) specialists, and representatives from local Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) and Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC). Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss upcoming work requirements and ask questions to better understand contracting opportunities. The Industry Day will take place on May 11, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time at the Small Business Development Center at Stony Brook University in New York. Interested firms are encouraged to bring qualification or capabilities statements and be prepared to engage with government representatives. While this special notice is not an offer or commitment, it signals the government's contemplation of awarding multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) construction contracts in support of the Nashville Area. Attendees should be aware of compliance requirements such as the Indian Preference clause (HHSAR 352.2261) and Tribal Employment Rights Ordinances (TERO) fees or tribal taxes. Participation in the event and submission of information will not be reimbursed. Questions can be directed to the designated IHS contract specialists.
