Full Description

Currently, all parcels in the City are charged a stormwater utility fee based on the amount of impervious area within the parcel boundaries. Aerial imagery from the Champaign County GIS Consortium and construction plans in CAD format provided by developers/property owners have been used to measure the impervious areas and keep them up-to-date. Since January 1, 2024, all parcels including single family residential and duplex properties have been billed based on the amount of impervious area within parcel boundaries for the stormwater utility fee. In order to assess the fee for each parcel, an updated map of the impervious areas across the entire City is needed.
