Full Description

The Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, AL intends to award, on other than full and open competition a new 60 month Improved Durability Gearbox (IDGB) retrofit kits contract for the UH-60A aircraft provided by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. It is anticipated that an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will allow for the issuance of task orders on a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) basis for 60 months with a minimum of 75 up to a maximum of 300 IDGB kits being purchased. The kit include an IDGB Mod Kit Rotor Brake (N/Plate install) part number 70070-20292-031, Prop & Eng. A-L Conversion (M/K Tube Install) part number 70070-30258-025, Mod Kit Top Collector A-L Conversion part number 70070-35161-011, and Mod Kit part number 70070-65014-011 that are supplied by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06614-1378, large business, CAGE Code 78286. The kit also consists of mounting hardware, such as bolts, nuts, washers, shims, o-rings, and clamps, various sensors, switches and levers, and numerous pneumatic and oil tube assemblies. The IDGB UH-60A retrofit kit will support the Army, FMS and other Government agencies. The IDGB UH-60A retrofit kit will allow the Improved Durability Gearbox, currently used on the H-60L and H-60M aircraft, to also be used on the older H-60A aircraft as well. The RFP will require a proposal submission consisting of technical, cost/price data, and past performance for the kits. The Improved Durability Gearbox RFP will be available electronically - no hard copies will be sent. It is anticipated that FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, will be utilized.
