Government of Georgia (GoG) has received a grant from the Government of the United States through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for Improved Infrastructure, Economic Opportunities, and Support for Internally Displaced Persons and intends to apply part of this grant for Improvement of Headworks of town Oni Water Supplying System. Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Improvement of Headworks of town Oni Water Supplying System. The Project area is located in West Georgia, Kvemo Svaneti and Racha Region 300 km northwest from Tbilisi and comprises territory of Oni Municipality. Access to the site is possible via Tbilisi-Terjola-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri-Oni motor way. The purpose of this contract is to improve the quality and quantity of drinking water provided to the residents of Oni. The proposed works include construction of a new high rate sand filter with a design capacity of 15 l/sec; back flushing pumps (Q=72 L/sec, H=18 m, N=25kW - 2 sets); chlorination units (100 m3/hr - 2 sets) for disinfection; and storage tank (1000 m3). All Works must be completed within 6 (Six) months after Start Date. Bidding will be conducted through competitive bidding procedures, in accordance with USAID policy, and is open to all bidders listed in USAID Geographic Code 937, as defined by USAID source and nationality regulations 22 C.F.R. Part 228 (http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-20101-10/html/2011-33240.htm), or 110 (currently the United States, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) in effect on the date of acquisition. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) office at the address below from 10:00 to 18:00 hours. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GEL 300 (three hundred) or equivalent.
