ISEA of the Future Forum - "Digital Twin, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Live Virtual Constructive (LVC), Autonomy & Unmanned Vehicles" Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWC Carderock) will be hosting the fourth forum in the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) of the Future series on June 19-20, 2019 at NSWC Carderock's Melville-Taylor Auditorium in the Maritime Technology Information Center (MTIC) in West Bethesda, MD. Attendance must be either US Citizens or DoD CAC holders. Note: Attendance will be further limited on Day 1 to DoD and qualified U.S. DoD Contractors due to subject matter constraints. The theme of this event is centered on four areas: Digital Twin, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Live Virtual Constructive (LVC), and Autonomy & Unmanned Vehicles. The event will consist of an in-depth review of the problems, issues, barriers, challenges, and opportunities associated with ISEA of the Future implementation of these technologies. Following on from the events held in August and November 2018 at NSWC Port Hueneme Division and in February 2019 at NSWC Corona, NSWC Carderock seeks interest from industry, academia, and state, local and federal entities capable of providing expertise, capabilities, facilities and experience relative to this subject that would like to participate in discussions with the ISEA community. The draft agenda will be provided when it is available. We anticipate this forum to consist of stand-alone presentations and panel discussions on specific problem statements (see attachment). The goal of the panel discussions will be to have an interactive in-depth review of the problems, issues, barriers, challenges, and opportunities associated with ISEA of the Future implementation of the technologies this forum will focus on. The expectation is that attendees and panel members will review the specific Navy problem statements and be prepared to engage in interactive panel discussions. This will involve validation of the problem statement and then to propose and discuss steps that the Navy should take in order to shape future policy and acquisition decisions that can solve these problems. Each topic and session will be led by a chair who will guide the panel in their discussions. If you are interested in presenting, being a panel member, or chairing one of the panel sessions, please reply to the POC listed below and provide a few sentences describing yourself and your organization, the topic(s) of interest, and what you could provide towards the discussion. To ensure a successful forum, we encourage interested parties to register early and complete all of the required visitor information at the earliest possible opportunity. Registration is by first-come, first-served, and will close once the maximum capacity of attendees has been reached or June 5, 2019, whichever occurs first. NSWC Carderock is one of ten Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Surface and Undersea Warfare Centers. Carderock Division consists of approximately 2,200 scientists, engineers and support personnel working in more than 40 disciplines ranging from fundamental science to applied/in-service engineering. We are the Navy's experts for maritime technology. The Division houses world-class facilities and laboratories and also conducts research and development at several remote sites across the country. As a major component and field activity of the Naval Sea Systems Command, Carderock Division provides cradle-to-grave support for its technical products over an enormous range of scientific areas related to surface and undersea platforms. The Division addresses the full spectrum of applied maritime science and technology, from the theoretical and conceptual beginnings, through design and acquisition, to implementation and follow-on engineering. This includes all technical aspects of improving the performance of ships, submarines, military watercraft and unmanned vehicles, as well as research for military logistics systems.
