AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the supply of indicator gas detector tubes specifically designed to detect carbon monoxide in concentrations ranging from 2 to 300 ppm. These tubes are packaged in boxes containing 10 units each, with a total order quantity of six boxes. The packaging requirements adhere to commercial standards specified in the procurement documents, ensuring that each unit is securely sealed and protected against damage during transit. Shipping containers must meet applicable commercial exterior packaging standards, including export requirements if necessary, to guarantee safe delivery via common carriers at the lowest possible cost to the specified delivery location. All materials must be marked according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which replaces previous MIL-STD-129 markings, ensuring compliance with updated government standards. The contract references several specific technical and quality requirements governed by the Defense Logistics Agency’s master list, with adherence based on the revision effective at solicitation or award date. Additional guidelines address packaging, removal of government identification from rejected supplies, and potentially the handling of covered defense information. The solicitation, issued by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain at Hampton, VA, is set for response by April 8, 2026, with an expected delivery timeframe of five days after order. The primary point of contact for this procurement is Olusola Emmanuel.
