The Air Force Research Laboratory's Munitions Directorate is organizing a two-day classified Technical Interchange Meeting on November 18-19, 2014, focused on the High Velocity Penetrating Weapon Flagship Capability Concept. This event is designed to facilitate technical dialogue between AFRL and industry experts regarding advances made over the past two years in key areas such as ordnance, guidance, navigation and control, propulsion, and system integration. Attendees will receive an in-depth overview of the program’s goals, review technical data, engage with subject matter experts, and have the opportunity to discuss research specifics and final results. Due to the sensitive nature of the materials, participation requires a secret clearance or higher, and foreign nationals are not permitted to attend. Each company is limited to four representatives, and admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests to attend must be emailed, with security clearances submitted via JPAS using a designated event code. AFRL also encourages scheduling follow-up meetings or phone calls starting after December 1, 2014, to allow for discussions involving proprietary and classified information. The meeting will be held at the Eglin Conference Center, with no government funding provided for participation or travel expenses. Meals will not be provided. The event serves as an information-sharing and collaboration opportunity rather than a solicitation, and proposals will not be accepted as a result of this announcement. Key contacts for technical inquiries include the program manager and lead engineer at AFRL, with contracting matters handled by the designated contracting officer.
