This project is to improve wastewater handling in the South Queens wastewater collection system. As part of a broader upgrade and system expansion plan, three municipal lift stations that are currently underperforming need work. These are the substantial replacement of Town Bridge and Cross Street stations, and upgrades to the Hank Snow station. The work includes exploratory hydro-excavation for locates, removal of existing sanitary sewer lines, some utility pole removal, abandonment of existing lift stations, installation of new ones and associated sanitary lines as well as integration of new generators. The replacement stations have owner's pre-purchased enclosure and pump packages to be used.
