The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) is preparing to issue a task order under the SeaPort Enhanced multiple award contract for Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD). This special notice serves to inform industry and encourage participation, particularly from small businesses, as the forthcoming request for proposals (RFP N00024-16-R-3125) will be a 100% small business set-aside. The government has posted revised draft documents—including the Performance Work Statement, solicitation sections, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, and labor category information—to facilitate feedback and industry dialogue. Although comments and questions are invited to help refine the solicitation, the government does not intend to respond to submissions or inquiries regarding the status of the RFP. The contract opportunity is classified under NAICS code 541330 and will be performed primarily in West Bethesda, Maryland. Interested small business offerors are encouraged to submit their feedback via email to designated points of contact, Traci Pichler and Carlos Bernal, with phone communications explicitly discouraged. The acquisition is part of an ongoing effort dating back to an earlier sources sought notice posted in October 2015, aiming to ensure the solicitation fully meets Navy requirements while fostering engagement with the small business community. The anticipated release date for the RFP is mid-April 2016.

Fire Alarm engineering for Lewis County
Solicitation # 2026-RFQ-040
Lewis County is soliciting qualifications under solicitation 2026-RFQ-040 for a professional engineering firm to provide comprehensive design and engineering services for fire alarm systems. The project encompasses several County-owned facilities, including the IT Building, Historic Courthouse, Health Building, and Lewis County Jail. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting on-site evaluations to determine the remaining useful life of existing systems, assessing code compliance with NFPA 72, IBC, and IFC standards, and developing bid-ready construction drawings and technical specifications. All designs must be stamped by a licensed electrical engineer familiar with Washington State fire alarm requirements and must integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure to ensure standardized maintenance and operations. Proposals are due by November 10, 2026, via the OpenGov platform and will be evaluated by a committee of at least three County employees using a points-based system. The evaluation criteria are equally weighted at 20 percent each across four categories: firm qualifications (including NICET certifications and licensed engineer availability), responsiveness and capacity to begin work within 30 days, regulatory compliance and permitting records, and the clarity and detail of blueprint designs. Applicants must provide a statement of qualifications, three public agency references from the last five years, and resumes of key personnel. The contract is administered by Matt Patana, Capital Infrastructure Specialist, based in Chehalis, Washington.
