The Naval Air Systems Command awarded a Cost Plus Fixed Fee delivery order, N0001923F0037, to Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. of San Diego, California, under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001920G0005. This sole source contract focuses on the installation of MQ-4C Triton ground segments mobile operating bases for the Government of Australia, specifically covering primary and secondary installations for both MOB one and MOB two. The scope of work includes performing post installation site acceptance testing and exercising options to provide software loads for the MOB one primary and secondary and the MOB two primary systems. The award was made on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, as Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-4C Triton UAS. Because the company possesses the exclusive engineering data, technical skills, and design knowledge required for the project, it was determined to be the only responsible source capable of completing the efforts within the necessary timeframes without substantial duplication of costs. This action falls under a broader Class Justification and Approval authorizing sole source orders for engineering, production, and logistics support for the USN and international partners through September 30, 2025.
