Full Description

OC Waste & Recycling (OCWR) proposes the approval of the County of Orange's participation in the Southern California Edison's Charge Ready Transport (CRT) Program to reduce the county's cost for fleet electrification that is needed to comply with California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) mandates. The CRT Program provides incentives to public agencies by either allowing SCE to design and construct ready-made electrical infrastructure on participant property or providing rebates of up to 80 percent for customer-constructed make-ready infrastructure . Participating in the CRT Program requires the execution of program agreements with Southern California Edison (SCE) and for certain sites, allowing temporary construction and/or permanent utility easements to allow SCE to install and operate electrical infrastructure . If approved, the proposed project will include the installation of EV (electrical vehicles) charging infrastructure at the County's three (3) active landfills. All work is within the existing OCWR Landfill property.
