The 764th Contracting Squadron, located at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, is conducting market research to determine capable, experienced, and potential interested sources to provide Thales Mark 20A Instrument Landing System parts. This Sources Sought is open to all businesses, regardless of size. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this action is 334511: Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Auronautical, and Nautical Systems and Instrument Manufacturing. If the alternate sources capable of providing the listed parts are not identified is not identified the Government intends to issue a Sole Source contract to Thales Deutschland GmbH. This announcement is part of our market research, and your responses are sought to identify sources that have the knowledge, skills, and capability to provide the required parts. Interested contractors, including small businesses and small business-led teams that qualify under the proposed NAICS Code 334511 are hereby invited to submit a response to the market survey to demonstrate their technical, managerial and business capability to provide the requested equipment. Response to this Sources Sought notice is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firm or corporation's ability to submit an offer if and when a solicitation is released. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. The requested information is for planning and market research purposes and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. The information collected through this process is determined to be market research as described by FAR 2.101 and in accordance with FAR 10.002.
