STEEL TUBE
Solicitation # W911S227U0100
Solicitation W911S227U0100 is a Request for Quotation issued by the Department of Defense, specifically the W6QM Micc-Ft Drum, for the procurement of new commercial steel tubing. This acquisition is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside and is posted as brand name or equal. The requirement consists of three specific line items: carbon steel tubing (2.5 inch OD x 1.25 inch ID, 12 feet length), steel alloy tubing (7.000 inch OD x 4.500 inch ID, 12 feet length), and steel alloy tubing (8.000 inch OD x 5.00 inch ID, 6 feet length). All items must adhere to ASTM A519/A519M standards, with alloy tubes requiring a normalized condition and compositions of 4150, 4140, or 4142. The government will award the contract to the responsible offeror whose proposal is most advantageous based on price and technical evaluations. A preferred delivery timeframe of 30 days after receipt of order is requested, and all shipments must be F.O.B. destination. Strict quality controls are in place, requiring that each heat or lot be clearly marked and separately palletized. Mandatory documentation, including a Certificate of Conformance and Certified Material Test Reports, must accompany all shipments. Offerors must submit quotes via the PIEE Solicitation module and include a completed certification of country of origin in Attachment 1 to avoid being deemed nonresponsive. Payment will be processed through the Wide Area Workflow system. Technical compliance is strictly enforced, and any non-compliant material will be rejected. For those proposing equal products, detailed descriptive literature and brand identification are required to verify that salient characteristics are met.
