The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind has issued a notice of intent to award a single source purchase to McGraw Hill LLC for proprietary educational materials and software under solicitation number IA-26-125, with an original advertisement number of SS-26-124. This action is not a competitive solicitation but a formal notice posted in accordance with Florida Statutes §287.057(5)(c), §120.57(3), and Rule 60A-1.045, F.A.C., indicating the agency’s decision to procure specific educational resources directly from McGraw Hill LLC without competition. The commodities involved include educational or reference software, educational or vocational textbooks, and electronic educational or vocational textbooks, all critical to supporting the unique instructional needs of the student population. The advertisement period ran from April 23, 2026, to April 28, 2026, and the point of contact for inquiries is Kim Whitwam at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. No contract value, detailed pricing, or performance timelines are disclosed in the notice, as this document serves solely to announce the intent to award rather than to solicit bids or provide full contractual terms. The underlying rationale for the single source selection is not detailed, but it is implied that McGraw Hill’s offerings are proprietary and uniquely suited to meet the agency’s pedagogical requirements. All contract clauses, specifications, evaluation factors, delivery terms, inspection criteria, and administrative details are absent from this notice, consistent with its status as a preliminary public notice under state procuring authority rather than a complete contract document.
