The U.S. Army Contracting Agency at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, plans to negotiate a sole source contract with Syscom Services Inc. for the purchase of a Fujitsu 5120 scanner along with annual support, as well as Cardiff Teleform version 10.1 desktop edition and its annual support. This procurement is being conducted as an emergency purchase due to the unique capability of Syscom Services to provide a mission-critical software component essential for data collection during epidemiological consultations performed by the Disease Epidemiology Program. The contract falls under the North American Industry Classification System code 423430, which relates to computer and software merchant wholesalers, with a size standard of 100 employees. Although this notice signals the intent to award directly to Syscom Services, it is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. Interested parties were invited to express their interest by a specified deadline prior to award.
